584 serial number identification

I just got a new to me 584 International with 2900 hours on it. It came with a Westendorf loader on it. It is a one owner that has spent it days feeding cattle. Runs like a singer sewing machine so far. I am having issues decifering what year this tractor is. Here is the serial number B500004B004134-X. Would anyone here be able to help me. Thanks in advance.

Hello ce.. welcome to YT! The 4134 at the end is the unit number identifier in the serial number, that is a 1980 model. Not sure what the X signifies in older IH models X1 denoted gasoline engine The serial number listing are near the bottom of the linked Tractordata page.

good little tractor, i have one the was in a fence row and brought back to life. i think mine is a 81 and one thing i had problems with was the steel fuel tank leaking because of all the rust that get between the fenders and tank. and keep the tank full to lessen water in the fuel. however mine id not used daily like yours might be.

The gentleman I bought it from already had the tank removed, split and cleaned out before he sold it. Tractor also had clutch replaced 2 years ago then he parked it. Bought himself a cabbed tractor to feed with.
