60 headgasket

What is the best gasket to use I got a felpro kit for it and it is leaking right out the gasket in the middle of the gasket not on head or block side

Time for a warm re-torque.

Clean TRUE surfaces 165 lbs at assey and bring ENG up to 180-190 slowly no load or at least light load cool off and re-torque should be good.

I used an original JD gasket (bought 2 O/H kits in '72 - have now used both)). No problems at all. Don't forget the re-torque.

Not all that uncommon..

Warm that puppy up and let it get completely HEAT-SOAKED before you do the re-torque..

when i worked for the local JD dealer we always used the head gasket for an A it stopped a lot of leaks

Nothing wrong with felpro, try getting it warmed up good and retorqe it.
