'60' Powertrol

Is there any 'simple' way of making the powrtrol 'float' like draft mode ? Reason for asking is; I built a rear blade and it is a massive PITA to level/control when trying to grade my drive (some steep). Thanks

Not without turning the PUMP on and off. The trol on a A or B will stay to the rear till you call for it again, as for the 60 ???????

The 60 has a very effective and precise 'position control', it stays where you set it, good for some stuff, but..... I think (not too often) that an 801 hitch has something in all the bits that does this - knowledge pls.

This is the mechanical draft control that the 801 hitch has. You unpin the 3/4(or so) inch pins (2) at the base of the upper link so it can move when the two lower arms push up on it. Very crude. I much prefer to use my 620 on my rear blade than my 60 or 70 with 801 hitches...

If you move the lever all the way back it should have a detent to hold it into a float mode. All the way forward the detent will hold it in a fast raise position until it comes to the top and then it kicks back to neutral position.
Maybe your detents are not working ? I'd have to read the book as there may also be adjustments on these too.

Hi, went and dug my 60 out of the shed, and with the GOVERNOR pump turned on , if you have the metering valve backed out 2 turns , and dummy plugs in i went and moved the power trol lever to the rear and with the tractor running it stays there, as to a float poss. Generally only use the 60 for belt power or drawing chopper boxes, as we have the 60 weighted at 6500 lbs. and the 50(A) is used for power trol usage, #5 mower- 3BTM #813 set and also a set of F-145,s 314,s so i was not sure. So every thing being up to par , your 60 should float also. Sorry i tried to miss lead you before , but with the live pump i was not sure till now. MIKE was right.

Thanks guys. I've had this thing for a long time and used it for maintaining my farm road-over 30 yrs. ago. Had a MAJOR brane phart !! I will be bringing 'Ole John' out for a trial run soon.
