600 three point wont raise

Im sure youve had this question asked dozens of times but I dont know how to get into the archeives to search this subject. I bought a 600 with a 5 speed. It hadnt been run for several years and sat outside. Got it running after a bunch of work but three point wont lift. I think the pump is working as I feel pressure against the remote valve lever when I move it forward and backward.I also have pretty good flow when I remove bleeder plug on pump. Incidentally I have milky hydraulic fluid. Do I have a stuck check valve someplace? Any help would be apprecated. Thanks, Mark From Wisconsin

Milky hydraulic fluid usually indicates that there is water mixed in with the fluid. The first step should definitely be to change the fluid and clean or replace the filter(s). I am not familiar with your exact model, so there may be more than one filter.

If there has been water in there for a while, then it's possible something is rusted internally that is causing it to not be able to move the arms.

Sound slike you have a 650 or 660.. though either has the same hyd system.

I'd change the oil just because.. then try to get her working.. my gues is a stuck unloader valve.

forgot to mention, you can plumb a hyd pressure gauge ( 3000 psi ) into your remote, and then pressurize it and see what pressure you are making / relieving at.

if you have pressure.. problem is downstream with the valving.. etc.

There is/are no filter/filters in the 600 hydraulic system.
As soundguy said, drain and flush the system, add new fluid and prime the pump by screwing a barbed fitting into the pump and running a clear vinyl tube back to the filler port. Start the engine and allow the fluid to circulate. When the pump is primed remove the barbed fitting, reinstall the plug and see what happens. Hook a pressure gauge to one of the remotes and see if you have pressure there. If the pump is making pressure but the lift won"t raise you will be removing the lift cover and rebuilding the lift cylinder and control valve.
