Speaking of ticks in the motor, a friend of mine had a tick in his.....for about 2 revolutions, before the rod came right out through the side of the block behind the starter. Anybody got a good block or engine out there, reasonably priced?
And somewhere close to SE Iowa?

I saw an 841 for sale at an auction and the block looked like a rod had come through and the owner epoxied the hole. It was running.

Thanks for all the replies. I also suggested that he go out and find the pieces out in the snow and maybe he could JB Weld them back in after he fixed the problem. He's not just sure what happened....said he was scooping snow with his loader at about half throttle, and boom it was done. It had oil in it but he knew it was getting a little tired because the oil pressure would go down to about 15 psi at idle when it got warm. He just didn't expect THAT!
