Does anyone have or know someone with a 6030 with a 619 instead of a 531? I am looking for a 6030 with the 619, or just a 619 that i can put into my already owned 6030.

They fit in nice, you will need to make a bit of an adapter for the air cleaner mount, but it's not tricky, if you can find it try to get a late model 619 with a crankshaft driven oil pump, the late 8640's had them, the big 6030 transmission will handle the extra power...

Yes, they would be a good choice if you can find one, there aren't any in my area, they would not be subject to the block "Flexing" that the 86's have..

Tim, do you know the engine and tractor serial number breaks relative to the 8640? Could you comment about the late 8640 motor versus a 50 series? Might be one coming available soon here.

I think the 10.1Liter engine will work as well wont it? Give these guys a try, at one time they had one listed for sale, I also believe they are a salvage yard:

Depends on the amount of ballast, tires and gear speed selected.
Lugging a turned up 619 in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear will eventually wear the drive train into early failure.

- CRANKSHAFT DRIVEN)™BR>(6619AR 01, 06) (SHORT BLOCK SERIAL NO. 531901- )™BR>(6619AR 10) (ENGINE SERIAL NO. 040124- ) (6619AR-08,09) (ENGINE SERIAL NO. 039937- )™BR>(6619AE-01) (ENGINE SERIAL NO. 040087- ) (6619AE-03) (ENGINE SERIAL NO. -058574)™BR>(6619AR 11, 12, 13, 14)These numbers can be a bit confusing, the later 8640's were crank driven and I'm not sure of the actual serial no. break, if you remove the tach drive housing you can tell for sure, the crank driven ones had an idler made into the drive to make it work out, It "is' a much better engine so if you can come up with one it is worth your while. The 50 series were all crankshaft driven, and better yet. Some of the improvements was more "meat' in the block around the head bolt bosses, there were many improvements in the later 619's.

A 6030 will deal with 300hp just fine, they have twice the drive line capacity of a 4440, and a 4440 will live a long life running 150 hp.

I'm at Ottumwa. JD has a factory here that made all the hay and forage equipment, including the self propelled forage harvesters thru the 5830.

Yes, They are a tuff old work horse with "no" creature comforts,,sorta like working in a phone booth with a big power unit...
