620 John oil change

How to get filter out to replace on 620 , do you in
screw the round housing

Yes just unscrew the hex of the round cover 1 1/4 I think. Take it slow , once in awhile the bowl will stick up in the housing, and remove the packing up in the housing and replace with a new one. JD sells the packing separately but aftermarket puts two in the box one for two cyl's and one for new gen 3010 4020.

Do not over tighten the oil filter cover .

The 620 filter bolt is smaller (I wanna say 3/4" wrench???). Make sure you dig out the o-ring in the groove that seals the housing. Sometimes it may not seem like there's one in there because they're so hard. Whatever you do don't tighten the filter housing too much or you'll crack the housing up top.

Thanks I had a manual someplace but age has
forgot where he put it the filter cap was just stuck
