So i just picked up this 1962 621-62 tug
from a small town marine repair shop and
had a few questions, the battery cables
are mismached homemade whatever works to
get it running so the first question is
was these 12v systems negitive ground?
When we went to jump it was set to
negitive ground but the alternator fried
amd not sure if they messed up and
installed the battery negitive instead of
positive groundor the alternator was just
toast.
Second on the passinger side of the engne
compartment there is what looks like a
red filter amd i cant see off hans what
it goes to amd the writing is worn off
it, anyone know what it was for?
Third there apperes to be a foor buttin
starter or light swich below the steering
column i am unsure what it originally
went to or if it was an afterward add on
for somthing.
Thank you, first time with a ford or a
tractor this new and since it was
surplused out and a small town mechanic
shop owned it im trying to find out what
was original and what was added later
