630 triple range

This may help in that my gauge cluster (1962) is a Stewart Warner that Case used on all early models 300, B series, and I believe early 30 series. Your's is a Auto-lite and most likely is a 1963. Probably was some cross over so can not be definite.

The pic showing the back axle looks like a model 641 general purpose 630 tractor.

TG I thought you had it nailed and you could still have it but there is no before/after serial nr for the change over from SW to Autolite instrument cluster in the parts manual. John is going to make or break our guesses when he sees that brake drum cover.

Sometimes a casting date was cast on the bottom of the engine block, left side, just above the pan line. Also, if you give us a close up of the brake drum, we can narrow it down.
John, there isn't a casting date on the block. Here are pics of R&L brake drums. Apologize for the pics orientation. Haven't found the rotation icon on this phone.

Definitely Double Disc Brakes. Parts Book says used up to 6165137. Using that ser. #, CASE switched the brakes sometime in '61, so yours is an early '61 or earlier.

Thanks John, As I get further into this tractor I probably will find other identifiers. For now that answers my questions on year of manufacturer and identification for replacement parts I may need. Appreciate everyone's input.

BZ John, experience tops all.

The covers' weep slot gets plugged up solid over the years. Catch a differential shaft seal leak before it oil soaks the discs. Brake jobs are time consuming and no fun.

Thank you.
I won't be doing winter work with it. I've used Shell Rotella in my other tractors with good results. Tractor is stored inside until spring. I'll go through things when temperatures warm up. To lube the distributor shaft is there an oil port underneath the rotor?
yes and if needed I do have a original 630 parts manual for sale for your 630 jc

JC may not see this. He is a very good seller IMO.

630 factory carbs were either this Zenith or an M-S. If I get time i will try to sub those case p/n's with the mfr p/n's

The multiple fuel inlets on a tractor carb may have been for starting on gasoline for warmup and working on kerosene. There would be a small gas tank and a large kerosene tank. M-S & Zenith carbs were used extensively in early aircraft with multiple fuel tanks and possibly a carb priming circuit for tank changes.
I've removed the Carb from the tractor and located the ID tag on it. After cleaning the tag it revealed 2 sets of numbers, GA5748 and below that number 2534.
The Case P/N from the Zenith parts illustration is A35817. Does anyone know is the GA5748 a Case P/N? Is the 2534 a Zenith P/N ? I'll be ordering a kit but want to order the correct one for this carburetor.

Here's what my parts book shows . . . .View attachment 152731
Tg,
Thank you for digging this info out. The inside of the carb is really dirty& oxidized. Can only imagine how the internal passages look Also found the carb to manifold gasket was missing as well as it was missing one screw fastening the upper & lower body together. I'm going to clean this in an ultra-sonic cleaner I have ordered. Installation of new jets and gaskets should go a long way to improving the tuning of the engine.
