6320 injection pump

hello, Diesel Tech.. a friend has a 6320 JD TRACTOR with a STANADYNE DE-10 injection pump. he wants a little more power, so he is thinking put a DE-10 pump for a 6420 on his 6320,, BUTT i looked in the JD parts catalog and the part # is exactly the same for both tractors,, also the turbo and engine controler are the same for both tractors,, SOOO, HOW do these get 10 hp. difference with the very same pump,, etc..??? same size engine..

My guess would be a different computer chip.

diesel tech. sooo, is the fuel delivery on this pump controled by a roller to roller diemension, or by the computer?? i do not have any idea the internal workings of this pump,, soo maybe part mechanical, part electronic?? i have contacted you before as i have been doing the Roosa,, DB, JDB,,and back in the day CDC,,CBC,, pumps for over 50 years.

I'd say totally electronic, I don't think the DE pumps have a leaf spring/screw.
