Yeah but in reality he got taken to the cleaners because he paid almost $100.00 buyers premium!!!!

(quoted from post at 14:40:04 04/23/18) 100 bucks isn't an unreasonable buyers
premium percentage for an item that
price

Yes Mark, I was being facetious. As you know there are many YTers who proclaim that they will not go to any auction that charges a buyers premium. Many of them indicate that it doesn't matter how good the price is.

Where was that located? I need to ship some tractors for sale! LOL
Looks like the radius rod is patched/welded and is that a Skippy
peanut butter jar on the bottom of the air cleaner? 8N skinny front
rims, maybe Allis Chalmer headlights?, looks to be a newer 12V
conversion with a new starter. Tires look good too, but that fuel line
wouldn't last long around here. I like projects, but that one would
need to start at about $1000, not $2000, if I were going to buy it.

It looks like a decent old tractor to me.
For $1950 it is a good price if a guy needs
a tractor.
One thing I've learned about this board is
we're all a bunch of bottom feeders and
won't buy a tractor unless we can get it for
about 1/3 of what it's worth.
That is way more tractor than an N and I see
those going for that price or more here
often.

No buyers premium. Only seller pays commission.
Located in central Kansas.
Radius rod patched and welded. Strong but ugly.
Air cleaner bottom is correct metal cup.
Skinny 8N front wheels with new tires.
Rear tires are in very good condition.
Front headlights off a Case 430.
Fuel line was a fire looking for a place to happen.
12 volt conversion with crappy 12 volt starter.

I paid $500 for it last spring. Put a clutch kit in it and a little work on the 3 point lift. I think I came out ok.

Yes, I'd say you came out fine. That's more the way I like to buy them.
$500, a little "free" labor and make a few dollars back for the next one.
Buyer gets a good working tractor, both buyer and seller are happy.
