Have a neighbor with a 6400 drained out trans oil and it is setting in a clear container and oil is separating out going to let it set longer to see better what the other fluid is. Do the 6400s have a trans cooler that use coolant like on heavy equipment. Or is it air to oil.

I believe the hydraulic oil cooler is in front of the radiator along with the AC compressor.

MAY vary by type of transmission?

Have a look and see if there's two oil lines that connect to the cooler ahead of the radiator that lead to the transmission.

Hydraulic oil cooler is oil to air so no chance of crossing fluids there. There were issues on early 6xxx series with water contamination, one fix was to put an extension on the breather located on the back end of the differential housing just ahead of the scv couplers. the original breather was about 2 inches high, the modified version about 3
