I need a carb kit for my 641 but the tag is missing from the carb. Is there a way to find the right carb kit thru the serial number ? It is a Marvel Schebler carb. The tractor serial number is 641-s and below that 17815 is stamped. 10B2 is stamped on the bottom of the carb bowl.

Thanks

Looking at photos of both of these carbs neither one looks like the one I have. Maybe they are generic photos. My carb has the fuel inlet coming out of the back of the carb. maybe these photos will help , thanks.

ost the center to center measurements of the mounting studs. That will help narrow it down.

(quoted from post at 14:33:30 11/27/19) studs measure 2 3/4 " center to center
ere is info from old posts by awhtx, may be of some help.
Here is a list of TSX and Ford numbers that I have. In some instances Ford numbers were superceded by a new Ford Number. The last number is the Ford Tractor that carb was used on.

TSX-428, EAE9510C, B2NN9510A, NAA
TSX-580, EAE9510D, B4NN9510A, 600/700
TSX-593, EAF9510D, 800/900
TSX-706, EAF9510G, B6NN9510A, 800/900
TSX-692, 310746, 601/701
TSX-771, 312778, 801/901
TSX-662, 310015, 801/901
TSX-769, 312955, 801/901
TSX-765, 312954, B8NN9510A, 601/701
TSX-813, C0NN9510C, C0NN9510G, 801/901/4000

I do not promise that this list is entirely correct so if anyone knows anything differentfeel free to speak up.

The 1958 (approximately) 801/901 tractors had a 662. The 1959 thru 1960.5 tractors used a 769. The 662 and 769 had the same spacing (2-11/16") between the mounting studs, used a 3/8" stem to attach the sediment bowl to the carb and had a 1/4" fuel line. The matching manifold was part number 310076.
At SN 126525 a new intake manifold (B9NN9425A) was introduced along with the 813 carb which had stud spacing of 2-3/4", a 7/16" stem and 5/16" fuel line.
The correct manifold/carb combination depends upon whether you tractor is SN 126525 and later or SN 126524 and prior. Of course lots of parts may have been changed on your tractor so I would look and see which fuel line and stem you have. That will determine whether or not the 662 will be a direct replacement.

The carb in your picture has the main adjustment on the bottom.
That rules out the TSX-428, TSX-580, TSX-593 and TSX-706.

It looks to have the larger gas line too. Is the attachment bolt for
the fuel bowl a 3/8 or 7/16? How wide is the bowl where the two
halves meet? If that's not easy to measure, maybe bolt to bolt
between the bolts that hold them together.

I was looking through some pictures of carbs I previously rebuilt
and that main adjuster would also rule out the TSX-692 and 765.

Are you sure the brass tag isn't up under the mounting flange and
painted over with paint?

OK GUYS......I've waited too dang long to see who was going to come up with the right match for fran213's carb!!!!!

Here is a couple of pix, to show what the carb should look like, after it has been overhauled.
TSX 813......2 3/4" spread at the center to center attachment bolts to manifold.!!!

[b:9f71783be7]Here's[/b:9f71783be7] a link to the basic kit that should fit the 813 or 769.
[b:9f71783be7]This[/b:9f71783be7] kit is a step up and includes the main adjuster.
If you need a new choke shaft, [b:9f71783be7]this[/b:9f71783be7] kit has that and more.
These are all links to the parts here on YT.
