awhile back i posted about a 641 that had been sitting and i was asked to get it going, between waiting on parts, work and other stuff ive managed to get about 6 hours in on it. it was nasty! but it now runs pretty good, overhauled the carb replaced the sediment bowl with the correct one, it had some substitute plastic one on it that was cracked, cleaned out 2 inches of dirt from the aircleaner cup and complete tune up as the rats had been playing, plus cleaned out and replaced a bearing in the steering box, all i have left now is trying to solder up a leaky radiator, we have no radiator shop around here so its going to have to fix here the leak is between the core and the lower tank, thanks for helping me figure this one out

Good post Eric.
And thanks.
I don't help much with the Hundreds here but see these guys offering a lot of help to folks who need it.
Too often you don't hear that your advice did any good so it's good to see it in print - so to speak.

Eric

I don't know if I have advice, but I had a leaky radiator on my 640 where the fan tore into it.

I used a pliers to pull the fins off the area and expose the (small) hole. I wirebrushed it, applied past flux, warmed it with a propane torch, applied more flux, and then added some solder. Did fine. Rinsed the flux off.
