641 Gas doesn't flow

Trying to get my 641 up and running after sitting for awhile. I've cleaned the gas tank. Installed a new shutoff valve on the bottom of the tank. The metal gas line was cut sometime ago and rubber gas line
with a fuel filter was installed. I've replaced all that with new and cleaned out the metal gas line sections that are bolted to the shut off valve and the sediment bowl. Taken apart and cleaned out the
sediment bowl and reinstalled on the carburetor. Added about a gallon of fresh gas to the tank. It seems to be air bound somehow as the gas will flow to fuel filter and past when disconnected from the
sediment bowl. When connected back to the sediment bowl it stops flowing and won't fill the sediment bowl, resulting in no gas getting to the carburetor.

You might remove the filter, they don't do great on gravity systems.
Also check out the sediment bowl, if it's not filing there might be a clog in the connections or the screen at the top.

Does fuel drain out when you remove the sediment bowl? If so, the problem must be in the carburetor, either a blocked passage or a stuck float.

Maybe put 2 gals of gas in the tank? Air lock? No air lock if you take the cap off. Inline filter is why they make fire extinguishers, if it's not factory eliminate it.

Your 641 came originally with a fuel line with a rubber section in it, but no in line filter. Did you inspect the hollow bolt that holds the sediment bowl onto the carb inlet?

Just went through this on my Jubilee. New fuel tank (rust holes in old one). New fuel line and put an inline filter in. Tractor would run about 10 minutes and quit. I though maybe something was in the new tank that I didn't see. Fought with this for a week. Changed out the inline filter for another one (clear this time). Same problem. It would run a little while then quit. I finally just took the inline filter out of the system. Been running great ever since. Get rid of the inline filter.
