So the tractor was running well but occasionally the float needle would stick. So I took the carb apart and cleaned it up and installed a new needle and seat. I also changed oil and figured while I was at it I would remove the starter and clean up the bendix that has been sticking as well. The bendix was pretty grubby so I cleaned it up with brake cleaner. I turn it a few notches on accident - not sure if that's my issue. The ring gear looked in great shape as well.
Now when I go to start it, the starter sounds much much louder and not near as smooth if that makes sense. It sounds like she wants to start but also sounds like the starter is holding it back... What the heck did I do???!!!
Thats what I get for messing with something that really didn't need to be messed with.
