My key switch was bad,and my battery was 6 years old and completely died.i replaced the key switch which had a black and yellow wire.i put the new battery in and now I don't have lights or nothing.just wondering weather I put the wires on the right side of the terminal block.

641 Ford? If it's stock, there's two wires to the key switch and it wouldn't make any difference which terminal of the switch they attach to. There's an inline fuse in the lighting circuit, probably a good place to start investigating.

No operation of the starter either, or just no lights? If no starter are the battery connections CLEAN AND TIGHT? Clean means 80 to 90 percent of the contact surfaces inside the terminals and on the outside of the battery post are shiny silver lead, scrape with a utility knife if needed.
