Deere 2155 battery light problem

The battery light on my Deere 2155 turns on when the ignition key is turned off, eventuallly draining the battery.
We suspected the ignition switch and replaced it. We suspected an alternator diode, so we disconnected the alternator wires. Neither solved the problem.
If we had a wiring diagram, we could do some tracing, but we haven't been able to locate one.
As anyone ever encountered this problem ? Right now our only recourse is to disconnect the battery when we shut down the tractor.

The wiring diagrams are easy to locate; they are in the 2155 Technical manual. I will admit the manuals are not inexpensive. I expect the drawings cover several pages, and you may need more detail such as cab/no cab or other equipment to get the right drawings. Hopefully someone has a 2155 technical manual and can copy or photograph the drawings you need for you. You can ask your dealer if they will copy those pages for you, some will, some won't.

The 2155 uses a two-volume technical manual set.

TM4436 the Operational and Test technical manual will have the drawings. It has the testing and specs, diagnostic and troubleshooting info. (about $220 from JD)

TM4435 is the Repair manual (it has the "wrenching" info, minimal to no diagnostic or trouble shooting). (about $150 from JD)

There is also a supplement (TM4436S) to the TM4436. I believe it would only be needed with the older TM4436 manuals; JD includes the info in the new TM4436 manuals from them I believe. It includes revised/additional electrical info for the SGB and air conditioning. (about $80 from JD)

I very much doubt the I&T manual for the JD2155 will have all the wiring diagrams.

Thanks. It sounds like TM4436 is what I need, I was reluctant to buy even the $20 download without knowing what was inside, so your information is greatly appreciated.
