Hydraulic units for a 66 different than a 77 or an 88 and not all that common. You need to fine one from a 66 or a Super 66 or a 660. I am not positive, but I think the tranny input shafts are different if you have hydraulics or cultivator lift. I have a 660 with hydraulics, very handy tractor.

Crowding 60 years ago, a neighbor had a 77 without hydraulics. Back then TSC was Tractor Supply Company, not toys, shoes and clothes. He bought a self contained hydraulic unit that had the pump, valve and reservoir in one from them. He mounted it on a short piece of pipe through the rear cultivator pipe hole and ran it off the belt pulley drive. He made a sprocket that bolted on in place of the pulley and had a sprocket on the pump and ran it with a roller chain. I always thought a belt would have been quieter, but he used a chain. It wasn't "live", but on the bright side, he could shut it off when he wasn't using it.

Oh boy....Okay, not understanding remote. My TV has a remote. In another thread here on YT one spoke of remote denoting levers.

I have a set that I've used on 3 different tractors. Selling the WD45 I pulled these. The 45 had end loader and hydraulic bucket (junked both). Pulled, filled with oil. Been in the back of my truck for I don't know how long. I got too much in the back of my truck. I have topper on the bed to keep everything dry and dust free.

Is this what you mean?

Well kinda. I need the complete unit like that goes there by the gear shift lever and drives from what I call the broomstick shaft

Might give Bedwell's a call. Bushnell, Illinois. 1-309-772-2343.
Bought another Oliver top link assembly from him. Paid a little more, but no shipping made it good. Looking at another 1650 that doesn't have one.

Yeah your right about the imput shat I checked and I believe mine is splined correctly for it
If your tractor currently has a mechanical lift then no you do not have the correct transmission input shaft. The mechanical lift shaft is longer to carry the gear that drives the lift. The input shaft for tractors equipped with hydraulics is shorter because the pump hangs down where the gear would be. The longer shafts can be shortened to work with the hydraulic pump but they are induction hardened and you need a lathe to do it right. If your tractor has a flat top delete cover then it’s 50/50 which shaft you have but most likely it’s still the long one. If you do manage to find a 66 hydraulic unit be prepared to pay. They only fit the 66, super 66 and 660 and are scarce to say the least. Took me 2 years of looking before I finally found one for my 66.

You would think that given the time period a fellow looking for hydraulics would simply buy one from a parts yard. Having worked for Central Tractor during the 1990's it was said that used parts were perhaps the most plentiful during the 1960's aside from WFE assemblies. Tractors were showing up at parts yards for all kinds of reasons including fuel fires, barn fires, barn falling down, rolled over tractors, and plain old neglect.

Thanks Sonny I will give them a call tomorrow. A friend of mine thinks he has a unit but I need too lay my hands on it too be sure it’s correct
