660 thermostat housing

Time for a replacement thermostat housing, yet all I see on the internet have this extra mounting tab up on the outlet portion. Mine has the same 2 bolt mount, but not the third hole on the neck.

Is there a replacement without this extra hookup? I'd just be guessing as to its purpose.

I'm not absolutely sure, but would guess that is the only one available. The upper hole is for tractors equipped with power steering.

You will need to search salvage yards if you must have one without the attachment for the PS turnbuckle.

as others mentioned.. it's the universal replacement and accomodates power steering.

if you are loosing sleep about seeing the ps bracket hole.. use a grinder and hack it off so you will feel better.
