6603 6605

I have the opportunity to buy a two wheel drive 6605. I have a damaged 6603mfwd. I know there was the option of mfwd on the 6605 is this the same front axle? just looking at them they look fairly close. If anyone can give me a little help that would be great. I tried jdparts but can't seem to come up with anything.

6603 front axle part numbers are RE72948 or RE216203
6605 front axle part number is AL151674. Depending on the shaft which I did not look at the gear ratio would have to be the same between the two for it to work.. If you contact your dealer for JD the service or parts department can put in what's called a DTAC case to check if they will swap. They can also tell gear ratio and other information from tag located on front axle and machine serial number.

Adding the MFWD driveshaft with housing to the 6605's 2WD transmission might be FUN & $$$$$$$
