I have a 6620 sidehill that my hydraulics have started getting hot on it. I have changed filter and oil no change . have been running a 915f on it after about one hopper the light comes on. Any suggestions where to start looking.

make sure the lever that speed up the cylinder is in the "neutral" position. My 7720 got hot once when the lever was stuck . I am guessing the reel is spinning? if the hoses are not connected it will overheat also.

After combining beans today I did isolate it to the sidehill. When I shut off the auto leveling it didn't over heat. The side hill don't always respond the way it should any ideas on Whats going on?? It rakes a little to level up seems worse when it heavy with a full hopper

My unloading auger lever that moves the auger to the out position gets stuck due the the metal plat under the seat vibrates over to the lever and makes it stick in the out position.

Sounds like you found the problem. A couple years ago my hydraulics were heating up on my John Deere 6620 sidehill. I found a couple places where a metal hydraulic pipe goes into a hydraulic valve and passes through a passage into another. An "O" ring seals one passage from the other. The "O" ring had failed causing a high pressure leak inside the valves. A high pressure leak means high oil temperatures! One pipe with "O" rings went into the primary valve under your feet in the cab that has the header lift/lower valve and the reel lift/lower valve. The other high pressure internal leak was the secondary hydraulic valve behind the cab which is for the unloading auger swing and something else - maybe cylinder speed hydraulic goes through there as well. Fixed the "O" rings and never had a hot system again.
