67 4020 injector pump

Rebuild pump 2018, is there anything else that would cause it to rev up went starting beside flex ring in pump.pump doesn't have alot hours. Thanks

Stuck foot throttle?

Sticking metering valve will cause it too. Try adding some two cycle oil to the fuel, that helped my 560 with one quart to a full tank. ANY traces of water in fuel causing rust or Bio Diesel fuel if tractor is not used often can make it act up also.

Today after driving thru gate I left it idling while closing gate, got back on put in fifth gear went i release clutch tractor rpm went up like I pull throttle down but I never touch throttle. Thanks

In Texas you're probably not wearing big muck boots. Making sure that your foot is not hitting the throttle pedal is easier than taking the pump off because of a misplaced foot. Or just might be the flex ring they put in it was not very high quality or something else is coming apart in the governor.
