68 4020 PCV cracking

Had leak in dash area and found the pressure control valve cracked. This happened a few years ago and we just replaced with a used one. Anyone run into this problem ? Tractor is used to feed cattle with a 148 loader. Was Dads tractor so I know about it for the last 50 years. Think the hyd pressure is set to 2000. thanks

The pressure control valve body cracked on a neighbor's 4020 cracked close to 40 years ago and we replaced it with a new valve from DEERE.

The tractor isn't as heavily used as it was in the first 10 or 15 years of it's life, but is still in regular use, and so far as I know without any problems with the replacement valve. Seems to me the replacement valve may have been made with a bit heavier casting.

The owner has passed and his son now owns it, it is still 24 Volts, and I replaced the generator for him last fall, the old one was damaged beyond economical repair when the front bearing failed.
