I"m pulling my hair out and I ain"t got much left . I brought home a 68 580 ck with a frozen motor about a year ago . When I pulled it out of the weeds you could steer it . Sat most of last winter . I could not get the motor free"d up , but thanks to Gus Brats I got another 159 gas from a 530 and made one out of two . After fixing everything else and adapting a remote oil filter I was able to mount the original steering pump . Now I cannot get it to steer . If I raise the front wheels I can push the wheels back and forth and the steering wheel turns some both ways . The system was open for a couple months and I"m sure it was mostly drained . I only have the prev. owners word that it worked , and I know that and $2 will get you a cup of coffee . Is there somewhere I need to bleed it ? Should I pull the pump back off and go through it ? Dont think its the cyl."s cause I can make the steering wheel turn ? Snows a comming and I don"t have anywhere inside to work on it . Runs good now and the loader and hoe both work , trans , shuttle , clutch and brakes work , just can"t get it to steer .
