70 all fuel block studs

Working on a 70 all fuel tractor. Have the 9 studs that thread into the block for the head. 3 different lengths... longest goes on oil passage collar. But my shop Manuel does not depict where the other 8 bolts go. 4 of 6 1/8 and four 7 5/8

Anyone have a better breakdown of placement?

Set the head on the bench and drop the studs in the holes. Move them around until all of them are close to the same amount of threads above the holes of the head, the 6 1/8 probably go outside the valve cover and the longer inside the valve cover. If there is any paint on the ends, those are outside the cover.

Good plan matthies. I would clean the threads in the block, blow out and clean the stud threads, too. Put a sealant on the stud threads that go into the block to seal any anti-freeze leaks. And yes, use the lead washers under the head nuts. Torque the nuts, run tractor to heat up and retorque all again.
