70 Break-in Engine Oil?

I've gotten a JD 70 gas bored out and new, oversized pistons, and I'm wondering what engine oil to use to break in the new rings?

And what weight of oil you use to run normal use after it is broke in?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Usually, break-in oil is the same weight that is normally called for, however it does not have any of the special additives. Just go to Wally World and buy the cheapest oil on the shelf. After break-in, use your favorite oil. 10w30 or 30wt should work fine.

This.

While it may be new, and modified, its still just an internal combustion engine.

I have good luck using the break-in oil that Deere sells. It's what they fill their new engines with. I use my dynamometer to heat them up and break them in, but that oil seems to speed the process.
