70 gearshift patten

Where does the gearshift pattern supposed to be located on the 70 1946. It is the 6 speed with one reverse. Was told the dash like the 77/88s are, but some pics Of dashs I have seen dont show this and I dont have any old existing mounting holes from it being mounted on the dash before. Thanks

The 70 Gear shift pattern decal per the operating manual should be located on top of the tool box, under the steering wheel/

Thanks I just need to find a tool box. Mine doesnt have it.

INteresting. We had a 70 and the throttle control was on the top of the tool box. The teeth wore out, as did the seat pivots. Therefore, leaning the seat to the right kept the throttle open. When was the throttle moved up to the steering column?
