Can someone tell me how to set the adjusters on the brakes when putting the units back together. I can't find any infomation on this procedure.

I just set mine at the retracted position and let them adjust themselves out.

Should the screws be removed and lubricated before reinstalling. This tractor sat for about 5 years and things are a little stiff. The adjusting screws are free but just a little stiff.

A good claening wouldn'thurt. A drop of oil wouldnt hurt either.Dont put on too much,dust will collect and turn it to 'goo'.

NO no lube . Set them all the way retracted making sure the little tang keeps them from turning back and only allows them to come out . Make sure all return springs are clean and not binding on the posts .
