706 tachometer cable

I have a Model F706D S/N #: 3082 S-Y. My tachometer cable is broken. Trying to find the correct cable to buy. I called Yesterday's Tractor and was informed to get more information since they could not help me with the information I provided. How do I proceed in determining what type of cable to buy?

Just use a generic speedo cable, and cut to length. That is what you do for a speedo cable.
