Anything can be made to fit with enough time and money for it. Now I'm guessing here and if it is the same engine you might need to change the oil pan and check for where water and oil lines run for the radiator and hydraulic oil cooler on it . The pan may need changed for clearance on the yoke that holds the front axle in line as well as for the depth difference if any. Other wise I could not say more than this.

What engine do you have and what's in the combine? The combine could be a 301 gasser D301 diesel or a D310 diesel depending on serial number. Lot of variables if your looking for and easy transplant.

I put a D301 from a 715 in an IH 460 utility years ago, had to use the tractor front timing case/gears and oil pan and bolted right in. My brother still uses it. The EARLY 706D used the D282, and the D301 is similar like the EARLY 715 diesel used. The LATE 706D and LATE 715D both used the German IH Neuss D310 diesel.
