71 FLEXI PLANTER

[double m farms]

i have a 71 flexi planter the chain hosuing is in bad shape. does any one know if the hub drive sprockets have to be removed in order to replace the chain housing? or does the housing just slip ovem them when sprockets are removed and everthing else is unbolted.

Been too long since messed with one to remember that but you should be able to tell by studying the parts breakdown. Yetter has the rights to make those now so there is info on their site and under the manuals section. Parts catalog 1001 or PC-1001 is also on the JD parts catalog site.

You need to remove the sprocket then the spindle assembly can be driven out.
