Cheap jerky controls that shifter leaves a lot to be desired and it shifts hard poor visibility the hydraulic levers are jerky and move hard but its cheap horsepower. It was a long long step up from the 88 series at least finally had s powershift option

You are the first guy I"ve heard complain about the boxcar magnums. I've run mine for almost 30 years and over 7000 hours with no complaints on the controls. Yes, the shifter can take a bit of muscle if you are in a hurry but not that bad. Maybe the cable needs lube or replacement.

Judging by how the used ones are holding their value I'd bet they would sell well if put back into production today. Of course impossible as they'd have to be "def" and emissions compliant with all the electronic garbage that makes the new ones run.
