What 94 series rear end (gears and axle diameter) are closest to a 7110? How about a 7120? Thanks
Really, you had better google Magnum prototype and there is a very good picture of the first rendition of the magnum. What do you think the cab is its an IH minus 1 door and the right side opened up and you can actually put a magnum door on a 86 or 88 series by switching the side there hinged on.Why is a magnum diff the replacement for an 88 series? The frame rails are almost identical. As for the transmission the 88's had an 18 speed but didnt have the powershift yet.And yes I know the engine is from consolidated diesel but other than that it don't take a brain surgeon to see the Magnum is a direct decendant of the 88's especially when you have had one of each in the shop at the same time for work.Oh and we have always had Cases not IH.(quoted from post at 18:29:23 05/10/14) What part of the Magnum engine came from IH? There is very little in common between the Magnum & 88 series tractors. The rearend housings look similar.... That's about it. If they were the same you could cut Magnum sales by 80%..... Minimum
No need to post a picture of a 2096 we already had one.Oh how about the front axle the same axle was available on the last 88's.No need to get your feathers in a fluff we were always case not IH but after being inside a case and an 88 its easy to see where they come from and personally I wouldn't own a 88 series but have a Magnum and would buy a 33 or 3594 in a heartbeat.(quoted from post at 12:36:58 05/11/14) You guys sure fall for the IH sob stories, the engine, cab, trans, wheels, axles, none of this was ever used in a 88 series tractor. Maybe some Pto parts were the same. Yes there is a big IH influence in the Magnum but it's far from all IH. For the record the Magnum cab isn't as good as the 94 series CASE. I will post frame rail pics later of a 2096, looks a lot like a Magnum, and CASE started building 96 series tractors in 1983.
