7140 head lights

You will need to read the complete post before replying. How do you get the bulb out on the corner light for the 7140 and can I get an LED replacement for it. The regular front light with the high low beam can be had in LED . I already looked at the Fiat cartoons and it is pretty vague on that. Both are burnt out I need to fix a couple others but they can wait for a bit. This is in the front of the hood.

They talk about brighter lights and all the changes but nothing about how to get the bulb out of the corner in the main housing. I have not looked at it my brother has and unless he gave up today on it I'll look at it next time the hood is up.

If it is an H4 you would remove the connector and remove the bulb. If you use a halgen bulb do not touch the glass with bare fingers, the oil from yout fingers can cause the bulb to explode.

That is more like what I was looking for except the corner bulb has to come out from inside the light housing to the side or something like that. I have not seen it yet. IF I can look at it today I will check out the light in the hood. Thank you for that video .I didn't know they had so many options to put in a light like that with so many pieces. I've seen the ones where you had either a ring deal or the bulb itself twisted to come out.

It is tight but i just changed one. There is a metal stem that you just pull out. Once you get it out you can change the little bulb and then the stem assy. pushes back in and snaps in place. Good luck.

Thanks scarl That is exactly what I needed .He has the one facing forward out it is the one facing to the side he needed out. So he can just pull it out with a pair of pliers and push it back in?

Yes I was able to pull the stem out just by hand. Once you pull it out you will see. It is kind of tight but you can do it. I would like to meet the guy who came up with that set up. HA

Barnyard that looks like a better solution for lights and if they last like they claim . We will never be replacing them again.

I tried a few of the LED bulbs in the old lights and they didn't make near as much light as I hoped. I don't think I even pulled it out of the shop before giving that idea up and ordering the whole new ones from Larsen. Now all of mine have them. Money well spent.

Update I think he bought what ever was in the socket before and used. Not so much happy with it as it is more light than none. Hood is back on and ready to plant now. Hoping to plant the corn before it rains again. Once in the field it goes fast with 16 row planter. Beans will be the slow down since the planter for beans is half as big as the corn planter.
