720 clutch problem

Last winter I put a bunch of new parts in the clutch of my 720 diesel. I have not run it yet. The clutch does not have the normal "click" when it gets in engaged. It is like it never gets engaged.
I had the clutch off of the tractor to replace a seal on the crank shaft. What am I doing wrong?

Have you sat down with the book and made sure you did everything correct, if so did you pull the shaft out of the housing that throws the the fork into the clutch, you may be a spline off

I wondered about that very point. Is there any marks to know if I am off on the splines? Do I just move it one spline and see if that is the right way?

May double check the toggles and dogs also. Once you start it up, in neutral, and engage and
disengage several times, you will need to readjust anyway. You may get a firmer snap then.

???? What was included in the " bunch of new parts" ?
New clutch plates, new disks, new dogs and toggles, new bolts, and new springs.
Thanks for asking. I think I assembled it correctly.

Worked on the clutch today and had success. I will finish the project on Monday. Thanks for your help.
