720 fuel gauge

Any thoughts on how to repair a fuel float in the tank for the fuel gauge? A replacement float is not available from JD.

Ford (cars and trucks) sells (at least as of a year ago) replacement brass floats that are easily adapted to other applications.

I have the # at the shop, as well as a couple of new floats left, if they are getting hard to get.

If no one else has a better plan, I'll post the Ford part # tomorrow.

You can get new ones from Evergreen Restoration. I purchased one recently for 720D with 6 volt float and it was $80. They restore gauges too.
