720 gear speeds

I have a 720 that the gear numbers marked are different than actual tractor speed. From slowest to fastest is 2-1-5-3-4-6. Is this a factory option, or did someone change some gears around? Thanks

Cripes almighty, that thread is confusing :shock:

Yeah, I can see where it could be confusing. Bottom line is: there are 2 separate optional gear sets for that tranny, and a tractor can have either set, or both sets, or just the standard set for a total of 4 distinct total gear packages. Mike
