Does anyone know what type of fluid to use to flush a 720 power steering system. Thanks Sam

Power steering oil from John Deere made only for for 1960 and older 2 cylinder tractors.

Larry, I think you misread the question. He wants to flush it first. That would be very expensive to use for flushing.
Sam I don't know what to use but someone will.

Sam, it is tough to do well, because the dog gone drain plug sits a bit above the bottom of the base plate of the rotary cylinder, so when I have flushed them, I used something like off-brand 10 weight motor oil, which lubes just fine, and can get thin enough to wash the trash out with it. Try to park with the rear wheels higher than the front, with as much tilt as you can get. Be sure to crank the wheels back and forth which will cause the vanes in the rotary cylinder to stir up as much sediment as they can, though a pocket will remain untouched of about a third of a circle on the read side. That said, whenever I have one that is really contaminated, I just tear down the pedestal, clean and re-seal, and then I know it is right.

Thanks for the replys. I wasent sure if 10 weight oil was ok to use or not.I had thought that I read somewhere that 10 weight oil would harm the seals and pump. The stearing is getting sluguish and was wanting to change the power stearing fluid to see if that will improve things. Thanks again for the replys from everyone.. Sam
