730 Case Electronic ignition

Been running Pertronix E for 8 yrs.....tractor would not start and found side of roter broke allowing it towobble and wrecked dist cap. Replaced parts with same , of course , and tractor will not start.
Anyone on here have experience with this ????

I would think regardless of the electronic ignition you need to go back to the basic check of gas and spark. Too many times I've had more than one problem at a time and didn't realize it until I was ready to go to the nut house.

Amen to that. I just had that very experience.

Spark coming threw coil to the dist. cap.....but no spark from cap to the plugs.I checked with Pertronix and they said that indicated that electronic module was doing its job. That would indicate a problem with cap and/or rotar which are both new...,,even took cap and rotar back to NAPA and they replaced under their defective parts policy.

I am in no way a mechanic or electrical engineer, but since these pieces broke, is it possible your distributor shaft is so worn it is causing it to wiggle enough to break the original parts or wiggle to much to make contact????

PROBLEM SOLVED ........I think ! 730 is running again or should I say starting..lol Went back to NAPA again this morningto see if a dust cap was available for said distributer and they said NLA. Sooo came home and installed old dust cover and cap and gave it one more try and it started......about scared the He..ll out of me LOL

Reread whole post....and need to add few things 1.Had spark from coil to cap but not from cap to plugs
2.Was getting gas to plugs BUT with no spark as stated above
