730 Case hydralic problems.

Hey guys I have a 730 case comfort king with the draft-o-matic system. The three point arms will move up and down with out a load but you put a heavy load on them and they just sit. The pump seems to be making noise so we tried checking the pressure through the quick couplers. The gauge wouldn"t even read. But when you moved the lever the lines acted like they were trying to put pressure to the gauge. Any thoughts on the problem would be helpful.

Some years back my 830 did about the same thing, bought it used and it was not serviced as it should have been, hyd filter had not been changed in years. After a few years the hyd. got real lazy and finally would not lift my snow blower and the remotes would not lift much either. The pump looked good and it turned out the relief valve was totally shot. There was an update kit which I installed, it completely replaced the relief valve with a different style, Stuck a gauge in the remote and had 1500 psi like it was suppose to have, it's worked good ever since.

Could be the rubber seal at the pump intake. It is nothing sophisticated, just a squeeze fit. They will deteriate and the pump will suck a lot of air, and little oil. Need to pull the pump to check, but if it is the problem, it is a cheap fix.

Thanks for the advice guys. A local man asked if there was a screen in the transmission that could be pluged over and I told him that I only knew of the filter. Is there a sreen inside the rear end housing that may be pluged up?

several years ago I found a CK930 with cab in a salvage yard everything was good on tractor but 3 pt arms would try to come up but wouldn"t you could lift them and they would stay up slight down pressure and they would fall. I brought the tractor home and after cleaning a garbage can of smashed coke cans from under the seat found that previous owner had kicked the draft o matic into float. But selector in correct hole in floor and it has worked great best $1200 I ever spent. Make sure someone didn"t move yours simple things 1st
