730 power steering fluid

Drained the power steering on my 730 today, oil was dark and thicker than what I'm used to. Book says John Deere power steering fluid, what grade oil is this and what would be a good equivalent? Sure made a mess, doesn't look like a clean way to do that though.

NO need to re-invent the wheel here, because Power Steering Oil For Tractors Manufactured Prior To 1960 is still available from the DEERE dealership. (Part #AF2235R.)

Some guys report successfully using Hygard, some of us others believe in using "the real stuff". YAMMV.
