730 propane line leak

The hose that connects the liquid to vapor valves in my 59 730 LP has a small leak, nearer the end. Part no. AF 2874 R. Is there an easy way to fix this or do I need to pull the tank and or pedestal or both? Does anyone have a good version of this part or am I going to have to have one made?

I have a 720 Lp standard that I replaced all the hoses and valves on without removing the tank or pedestal. Difficult but not impossible. I need to do some searching on my computoer ti find who I bought the oarts from.

Did you have to empty the tank? I pulled the upper and lower panels, but the hose is smack-dab in between. I can’t see how to get a wrench on them without possibly removing the tank valves themselves.

Needless to say my tank was empty. If your valves are good you shouldn't need to empty the tank. I don't know how the dash is configured on the 30 series but on my 720 I just loosened the mounting bolts on the dash so it would lean back a bit to give me more room to get to the hose connections.

I have a 59 730 LP as well, and I heard and smelled the same hose leaking on mine a couple times, but it seems to have stopped on its own... or possibly it was a valve leaking but then stopped leaking. I'm leaving well enough alone for now, but should it come time to replace, it looks like the tank can be scooted forward a bit without completely lifting it out. If your valves are still good, then you shouldn't have to empty the tank to replace the hose.
