My 730 case the pto keeps turning and now it slips under load. Is it to late for adjusting? Does anyone have tips on repairing or adjusting? Is it hard to put new pto clutch pack in? Thanks

Probably only needs adjustment. There should have been a tool rather like a blade screwdriver with a "V" nick filed into the face supplied with the tractor.Remove the cover/plug from right hand side of housing (in line with the PTO drive shaft from the crankshaft in front of the Hydraulic pump) and turn PTO to find one of two spring loaded adjusting pins. Lever one out with said tool and turn the assembly one notch. Then try the PTO engagement lever and feel if it is harder or easier to snap overcentre. Continue adjustment accordingly till correct.
If all fails drain the rear end oil and remove the rear cover PTO clutch and all. A relatively easy job but not done in five minutes.
(It is many years since I have done this job so forgive me if some detail is not quite right.)

Thanks for the help so your thinking adjustment should fix? How many turns? Didn't understand about the lever one sentence..

Is your 730 an Eagle Hitch or a CK tractor. Although the clutch packs use the same discs the adjustment process is much different.
Chances of just adjusting the clutch pack to get it to stop, and pull under full load is slim to nonexistant, especially if you have been using it while slipping.
