730 TRANNY

i have a high speed tranny, my 1st is next to reverse,, is there an way to make it a slow 1st?

i ask the same question and didnt get answer either,wish i could help . if you find anything out please post it . i would love to know

Why do you need or want the slow 1st gear? I have that and only use it to load my 720D on the trailer. We pull 7500 and 8500 classes and 99% of the time we run 2nd gear.

Here's a link to a discussion from quite a while back that does a good job of explaining the different 730 tranny options. In short, you can put the creeper gear in, and it's not too hard to do as the gears that are changed are on the outside of the main case. Time to go junk-yardin'. Mike
