77 f250 highboy

I have an early 77 f 250 needs total resto. Was grandpas truck since new Ihave had since early 90"s. Looking for good ideas for upgrades or things you would have done differently. Has 351 modified with 4 speed 4.10 gears and I want to pull trailer with my John Deere A or M Farmall on it.

I had a 77 with the 351-M and 4 gear, changed it out for a 70 model 429, could stay with my buddys dodge with the V-10, got better mileage too.

that truck should pull it, maybe not as fast as a new diesel, but it will get there with it, for an example i have a '71 f350 2wd with a 4 speed and 4;10's, this truck is a bucket truck and by itself it weighs over 9,000 lbs, i can still hitch up my 18 foot car hauler with my ford jubilee and 5 foot brush hog on it [an additional 5500 lbs] and go to town, on the flat i can hit 55 to 60 mph, and thats with a little 360! that 351m should have more power than that does
