77 plus 310

When putting the 310 in the 77 what clutch, pressure plate and flywheel do I use ?

Kinda depends on what you are doing to the 310? I am assuming you are putting together a puller? If you are buiding a serious engine that is going to turn some rpms you should get yourself a steel flywheel. Other wise you will need a 88/880 flywheel. I THINK either a 77/770 or 88/880 bell housing will work but I know for sure the 88 bell will take up to a 12 inch pressure plate and clutch. You may have to do a wee bit of grinding on the inside of bell for it to clear, but not a big deal with a right angle grinder. If you are building a serious 310 though even a stock 12 inch clutch will probably not hold. ( dont ask me how I know!) Even with a stock 310 I would have the 88 flywheel balanced and checked out well for cracks.

I am just pulling in the 4 mph 15.5 cut tire class. So I am just going to leave it stock. Will the 10 inch clutch and pressure plate be good enough for it ? Thanks !
