77 standard serial #

I am in need of a serial number tag for an Oliver 77 standard. By all of the casting dates it would be a really late 1950 or 1951. A tag with number 272116-273374 in that range according to the parts book would cover the configuration this tractor has as far as brakes, front frame, and steering gear box. If anyone has one from a parted tractor I would be very interested in it. I know this is not a perfect way to match a serial number but would like a serial number on it.

It has 16 inch pressed steel wheels on it. Both wheels have square holes to attach wheel weights also. I guess cast wheels started at #272880. I just always thought cast were optional. Thanks for the tip.

Believe i have one - will have to check when snow clears , wrote down the number when parted this winter, s/n 272628 C77 diesel, i think thats a 1951 model

That would be great. Let me know when the weather clears. E-mail should be open or call 419-439-three six four three.
