How difficult is it to reverse the polarity on the stock positive ground to get a negative ground and be able to keep the gen driven power steering pump on the tractor?

You can change the polarity of the generator output by: Reverse the posts on your battery, - to ground & + to starter.  Now before you start the engine take a wire and touch the battery terminal on the regulator to the "A" post on the generator for just a moment.

The generator can charge at either polarity once polarized. If it has an ammeter and you change battery polarity the leads need swapped side to side or else it will read bass ackwards. If its a coil ignition those leads should also be swapped, for negative ground that means its + terminal receives ignition switch input voltage while its - terminal wires to the distributor.

Connect the battery at neg ground, polarize the genny, swap ammeter n coil leads, youre off to the races.
