7710 charging regulator

Hey I want to know where the Charging system regulator is located on a Ford 7710 series II.I've replaced the alternator and starter and it still won't charge properly.I've got it narrowed down to this problem and Just need to know where the heck its located on the tractor.Thanks in advance guys.

I have a 4610 Ford and it"s located on the firewall kind of behind the battery tray

Its on step behind/underneath battery box.

It's on the right hand step, underside. There's probably also a battery temperature sensor in the battery tray that is just as likely the culprit...
By the time you have it working you'll wish you'd just put a Delco 10si on in place of the Motorolla at 1/3 the cost...

Is there 2 styles of regulator?The one by the step on mine is a little black rubber with a bolt going through it grounding it to the step.

Not that I'm aware of... All I've seen were a 2" square silver box with 'Motorolla Solid State' written on the tag.
It will have a wire harness with 4 wires... one yellow, red, brown and something else I think... but 4 wires... going into the main harness.
Also check the bulkhead connectors under the cab as they are well known for going bad over time and the reg wiring goes through there.
This is why I almost always suggest the delco route. It eliminates all of that stupid wiring.
What you need at this point is the Ford electrical bible with the wiring diagrams and a good multimeter... and a massive amount of patience. Or strong vocal chords.

That's the battery temp sensor.
Temp sensor has a two wire connector; the regulator is a 4 wire deal.
